Dr. Emrah Tuncer, Dr. Derya Kavgaoğlu, Research Assistant Onur Zeki Anılgan from the Social Work Department at Istanbul Gelişim University, and Dr. Aylin Akınlar from the Public Relations and Advertising Department at Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University co-authored the article "Disaster Capitalism and Social Policy: Social Work After Natural Disasters." This paper achieved the rare feat of being published without any peer review corrections in the prestigious "Capitalism Nature Socialism" journal, categorized as Q1 in Scopus.

The study deeply explores how neoliberal policies and disaster capitalism use the fear and anxiety caused by natural disasters to gain public consent for practices contrary to their interests. It examines the situations that social work professionals need to address at micro, mezzo, and macro levels, and the importance and processes of developing alternative elements to fight against disaster capitalism.
