Throughout the event, Nursing students, under the guidance of their faculty members, provided information about the causes, consequences, and prevention methods of hypertension, emphasizing once again the importance of healthy lifestyle habits. It was also highlighted that hypertension is directly linked to circulatory system diseases, which are among the leading causes of death worldwide.
The Mayor of Adalar Municipality’s Police Department and his team supported the event, and Associate Professor Dr. Neşe Kıskaç presented them with a certificate of appreciation for their contributions. After the event, a tour of Büyükada was held.
Following the blood pressure measurements and informative sessions, participants enjoyed a pleasant island tour. They visited some of Büyükada’s most well-known cultural and historical sites, including Taş Mektep, Aya Yorgi Church, and the house of Reşat Nuri Güntekin, allowing participants to experience both history and nature closely.
Istanbul Gelisim University continues to stand out by strongly supporting projects aimed at public health alongside its academic activities. This event provided students with valuable practical field experience while also significantly contributing to raising health awareness in the community.
