The need for qualified healthcare professionals continues to grow in today’s world. The importance of healthcare has been further underscored by the global pandemic we experienced in recent years. As a result, there is an increasing demand for competent, knowledgeable, and well-equipped healthcare professionals who are open to development and committed to ethical values.
As Istanbul Gelişim University Faculty of Health Sciences, we aim to provide world-class education and training to meet the needs of the globally expanding healthcare sector. We are dedicated to fostering individuals who are open to scientific and technological advancements, capable of conducting research and development, adhere to moral and ethical principles, think analytically and critically, continuously improve and renew themselves, and possess strong communication skills.
Established as a College in the 2012-2013 academic year and transformed into a Faculty in 2020, our institution now operates as a reputable organization offering educational activities in 17 departments, five of which provide 100% English education. We train specialists in various fields for the healthcare sector.
Aligned with our goals, our qualified academic staff equips students in all departments with the knowledge and skills necessary for professional expertise. We provide conducive working environments for our students to excel.
As the university with the highest number of internationally accredited programs in our country, 13 departments in our faculty that have graduated students have been accredited by AHPGS (Accreditation Agency in Health and Social Sciences). QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) World University Rankings: Europe 2025 ranked our University among the top 500 universities in Europe, maintaining its position as the 4th among foundation universities in Turkey and 21st in the QS Europe-West Asia category. Additionally, in THE World University Rankings 2025, our University has achieved significant success, ranking in the 1001-1200 range globally, 13th among Turkish universities, and 8th among foundation universities. In the Research Quality category, IGU ranks 473rd globally, 3rd among Turkish universities, and 2nd among foundation universities.
In our internationally oriented departments, with the distinguished academic staff at both national and international levels, we provide education that equips our graduates to work not only in our country but also anywhere in the world.
