Within the scope of the workshop, the importance of establishing healthy eating habits during childhood was emphasized, and sustainable and nutritious snack alternatives for children were evaluated through practical applications. Throughout the event, participants gained theoretical knowledge about healthy food choices that support children’s growth and development processes and had the opportunity to put this knowledge into practice through the preparation of various recipes. In the prepared snacks, fundamental criteria such as nutrient balance, the use of natural ingredients, appropriate portioning, and suitability for children’s eating habits were taken into consideration.
The workshop also addressed environmentally friendly kitchen practices within the framework of a sustainable nutrition approach. During the preparation of recipes, issues such as reducing food waste, preferring local and seasonal foods, efficient use of resources, and supporting sustainable consumption habits were emphasized. In this respect, the event contributed to addressing the relationship between child nutrition and environmental sustainability from a holistic perspective.
Through the workshop, it was aimed to increase awareness regarding the development of healthy and sustainable snack alternatives for children, promote awareness of sustainable kitchen practices, and provide practical knowledge and skills related to the preparation of healthy snacks.
