History

The Department of Nutrition and Dietetics (Turkish), which offers a professional education opportunity to its students with the quality of education in line with internationalization standards and a modern educational approach, started admitting students in the 2012-2013 academic year.

Our department gave its first graduates in the 2015-2016 academic year.

The Department of Nutrition and Dietetics (Turkish) received full accreditation from the Accreditation Agency in the Area of Health and Social Sciences (AHPGS) in the 2017-2018 academic year.

The "School of Health Sciences" was transformed into the "Faculty of Health Sciences" with Presidential Decree No. 3203, published in the Official Gazette dated 25.11.2020 and numbered 31315.

Following the initial accreditation period, as a result of the application and evaluation processes, our department received AHPGS accreditation for the second time, valid until 2030, in the 2024-2025 academic year. In the same year, Istanbul Gelişim University was accredited for 5 years by the Higher Education Quality Council of Türkiye (YÖKAK) within the framework of the Institutional Accreditation Program.

The Department of Nutrition and Dietetics (Turkish) continues to provide education at international standards under the umbrella of the Faculty of Health Sciences.
