IGU Nutrition and Dietetics Club (IGUBES)
The IGU Nutrition and Dietetics Club (IGUBES) was established in 2024 by the students of the Istanbul Gelişim University Nutrition and Dietetics Department and began its activities under the advisory of Asst. Prof. Hasan Fatih Akgöz.The club has been officially approved within the scope of Istanbul Gelişim University’s “Student Clubs Directive.” Our club’s primary goal is to contribute to the academic and professional development of students by keeping up with the latest advancements in nutrition science and dietetics. In line with this goal, we organize evidence-based training programs, social responsibility projects, and interdisciplinary collaboration events. Additionally, strengthening solidarity among students and creating awareness by producing projects that benefit society are among our club’s top priorities.
In the short term, we aim to enhance our members' academic knowledge and skills and provide them with industry experience through events such as the “Public Bread Factory Visit,” “Career Talks with Alumni,” and “Erasmus+ Student Experiences.” In the long term, our goals include participating in national and international conferences, implementing healthy lifestyle projects, and organizing joint events with other universities.

Sustainable Life and Nutrition Club
The Sustainable Life and Nutrition Club was established in 2024 by the students of Istanbul Gelisim University, Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, under the advisory of Asst. Prof. Gizem Uzlu and has officially started its activities. Our club has been officially approved within the framework of IGU's "Student Clubs Directive."
The main objective of the club is to raise awareness about sustainability and to encourage individuals to develop healthy eating habits and a sense of environmental responsibility. Our club aims to inspire both personal health and the future of our planet by supporting academic and professional development, promoting conscious consumption habits, and organizing training sessions focused on the efficient use of resources and waste reduction. Additionally, strengthening solidarity among students and promoting interdisciplinary collaboration are among our core objectives. In this regard, Sustainable Life and Nutrition Club collaborates with the Scientific Research Projects Club and the IGU Nutrition and Dietetics Club. Furthermore, the club works in close cooperation with the Life Sciences and Biomedical Engineering Application and Research Center, which is affiliated with our university.
Our club participated in the Club Promotion Days for the first time on December 17-18, 2024, reaching a broader audience. In the short term, the club plans to organize scientific training programs, social responsibility projects, and cultural events. In the long term, our goals include participating in national and international conferences, developing healthy living projects, and conducting activities to increase public awareness of sustainability.
