 Our Department Faculty Members Were Accepted to International Working Groups Under COST Action CA24166


Assoc. Prof. Hatice Merve BAYRAM and Asst. Prof. Gizem UZLU, faculty members of the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, Faculty of Health Sciences, Istanbul Gelisim University, were accepted to the working groups of COST Action CA24166, titled “Pan-European Network for Inflammaging: A Multi-omics Integration Approach (INFLAMomx).”


Assoc. Prof. Hatice Merve BAYRAM and Asst. Prof. Gizem UZLU, faculty members of the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, Faculty of Health Sciences, Istanbul Gelisim University, were accepted to the working groups of COST Action CA24166 – “Pan-European Network for Inflammaging: A Multi-omics Integration Approach (INFLAMomx),” an international research network supported by the COST Association.

INFLAMomx COST Action is a pan-European research network that aims to integrate multi-omics approaches in the field of inflammaging. Within the scope of the Action, researchers from different countries carry out collaborative studies on data management, implementation and translational potential, capacity building, training, communication, dissemination, outreach, and the strengthening of scientific collaborations.

In this context, Assoc. Prof. Hatice Merve BAYRAM was accepted to WG3 and WG5, while Asst. Prof. Gizem UZLU was accepted to WG3, WG4, and WG5 of the COST Action. These working groups focus on areas such as the exploration of implementation and translational potential, knowledge exchange, capacity building, training, communication, dissemination, and outreach activities.

The acceptance of our faculty members to this international research network is considered an important development in terms of strengthening our department’s scientific collaborations, increasing its international visibility, and contributing to multidisciplinary studies in current research areas.
