Nutrition and Dietetics Turkish Department Student Orientation Program Held

 The 2026-2027 Academic Year student orientation program was held by Istanbul Gelisim University, Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Nutrition and Dietetics. The program aimed to support students’ adaptation to the university and the department, help them gain information about academic processes, and enable them to make a more informed start to their education.

The orientation presentation was delivered by the Head of the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, Assoc. Prof. Hatice Merve Bayram. Faculty members of the department also attended the program and contributed to helping students become familiar with departmental processes.

During the program, key topics such as Istanbul Gelisim University’s mission and vision, the department’s accreditation process, student advising system, important regulations, use of OBIS, student e-mail system, curriculum, examination procedures, and attendance requirements were discussed. In addition, students were informed about the theoretical and practical delivery of courses, summer internship and professional practices, laboratory facilities, TÜBİTAK 2209-A/B projects, Erasmus+ opportunities, double major program, postgraduate education, and student-participatory departmental activities.

For the students of the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, the program served as an important introduction to the academic structure of the department, practice opportunities, and the key points to be followed throughout student life. We wish all students who have newly joined our department a successful, productive, and healthy academic year.
