The Department of Nutrition and Dietetics at Istanbul Gelisim University Faculty of Health Sciences organized the “Career Talks with Alumni III” event on May 21, 2026, with the participation of students. Moderated by the Head of the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, Assoc. Prof. H. Merve Bayram, the event featured alumni member Dietitian Abdülkadir Şekili as the guest speaker.
During the event, Dietitian Abdülkadir Şekili shared his experiences from his student years to his professional career, discussing the opportunities he encountered throughout his career journey and the achievements that contributed to his professional development. Reflecting on his professional experiences, Şekili offered valuable recommendations to students regarding career planning and emphasized the importance of the knowledge and experiences gained during university education for professional success.
Throughout the talk, students had the opportunity to ask questions about career opportunities, areas of practice within nutrition and dietetics, and professional development pathways. The interactive nature of the event enabled students to benefit from alumni experiences and gain different perspectives on their future careers.
Held in Meeting Hall B Block 026, the event brought together students and alumni, creating a valuable platform for knowledge and experience sharing while providing participants with meaningful insights to guide their future career journeys.
