DISTINGUISHED FIGURES OF THE FIELD MET WITH STUDENTS ON SOCIAL WORK DAY

Moderated by Prof. Dr. İsmet Galip YOLCUOĞLU, Head of the Department of Social Work, this meaningful event addressed the past, present, and future of the social work profession in a comprehensive manner. Bringing together prominent figures in the field, the event offered participants a memorable opportunity to benefit from valuable knowledge and professional experience.

The first speaker of the seminar, Prof. Dr. Taner ARTAN, delivered a presentation titled “Theoretical Knowledge and Field Practice in Social Work,” emphasizing the integration of theory and practice. His insightful and inspiring talk, particularly his remarks on the “Harambee” philosophy, was met with great appreciation.

Following this, Social Worker Kahraman EROĞLU gave a presentation titled “Managing Social Work in Istanbul,” in which he shared both the historical development of social work in Türkiye and his valuable professional experiences from the field.
