    Answer: Social work is a profession that aims to enhance the well-being of individuals, families, groups, and communities. Social workers provide support to disadvantaged and at-risk individuals and produce inclusive solutions to social problems, working in line with the principles of social justice, human rights, and equality.

  2. What are the Employment Opportunities for Social Work in Turkey?

    Answer: In Türkiye, social workers can find employment in public institutions, municipalities, hospitals, schools, non-governmental organizations, and the private sector. The Ministry of Family and Social Services, children's homes, rehabilitation centers, and social assistance and solidarity foundations are the most common workplaces.

  3. What Courses are Offered in the Social Work Department?

    Answer: Courses in the social work department include human behavior, social work theories, social policy, psychology, sociology, law, and ethics. These courses aim to provide students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills.

  4. What are the Responsibilities of Social Workers?

    Answer: Social workers help individuals and communities resolve social problems, provide counseling services, conduct crisis interventions, manage social aid programs, and contribute to policy development processes. They also have duties related to raising social awareness and advocacy.

  5. What Qualifications are Required to Pursue Social Work Education?

    Answer: Students wishing to pursue social work education typically need qualities such as empathy, communication skills, problem-solving ability, social responsibility, and a desire to support people. Additionally, candidates interested in psychosocial health and capable of working effectively with people can succeed in this field.

  6. Are there Double Major and ERASMUS+ Opportunities?

    Answer: Students with a GPA of 2.90 out of 4.00 in their major program and within the top 20% success rate of their associate or undergraduate program can start a second major program for free. Students who successfully complete the Double Major Program graduate with two bachelor's degrees.
