History

Istanbul Gelisim University, School of Health Sciences started its education in the academic year 2012-2013, as per the Cabinet Decision No. 2012/3620 published in the Official Gazette No. 28407 on 10.09.2012. The Social Work Department began admitting students in the same academic year. The department graduated its first students in the 2015-2016 academic year.

By Presidential Decree No. 3203 dated 24.11.2020, Istanbul Gelisim University School of Health Sciences was closed and replaced with Istanbul Gelisim University Faculty of Health Sciences.

The Faculty of Health Sciences at Istanbul Gelisim University continues to train competent Social Work Specialists in the field of Social Work.
