 Modern Physiotherapy Approaches in Pre-Pregnancy and Post-Pregnancy Processes


The "Non-Stop FTR Fest" activities of the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation (TR and EN) of Istanbul Gelişim University continue. Within the scope of "Non-Stop FTR Fest", the event titled "Modern Physiotherapy Approaches in Pre-Pregnancy and Post-Pregnancy Processes" was held online on Monday, March 8 between 17:30 and 18:30 with the participation of MSc PT Songül Sevim.


The "Non-Stop FTR Fest" activities of the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation (TR and EN) of Istanbul Gelişim University continue. Within the scope of "Non-Stop FTR Fest", the event titled "Modern Physiotherapy Approaches in Pre-Pregnancy and Post-Pregnancy Processes" was held online on Monday, March 8 between 17:30 and 18:30 with the participation of MSc PT Songül Sevim.
 
Starting the event by answering the questions of moderator Alihan İrken, MSc PT Songül Sevim first explained how she chose the physiotherapy and rehabilitation department and the problems she encountered during her school years and afterwards. Continuing her speech by mentioning her own clinic opening process, MSc PT Songül Sevim stated that she opened her own clinic for this purpose, questioning what she can do to contribute to the health of society.
Before starting the presentation, he told the physiotherapist candidates that communication with the patient is very important, so they should definitely improve their communication skills. Finally, he talked about the need for a foreign language in order to understand and comprehend scientific studies quickly.
Songül Sevim started her presentation by talking about the evaluation of mothers in the pre-pregnancy period and possible risk factors. After touch on to what the pregnancy training program is, Songül Sevim talked about the problems encountered during pregnancy and exercise training. Referring to the points to be considered in the exercise training Songül Sevim completed her presentation by talking about the exercises that can be done in the birth and post-natal period.
Accepting the thanks of moderator Alihan İrken, MSc. PT Songül Sevim concluded her speech by giving advise physiotherapist candidates.
