World Occupational Therapy Day was started to be celebrated for the first time on October 27, 2010 under the leadership of the World Federation of Occupational Therapists. Since then, October 27 has become an important date for the promotion and celebration of occupational therapy. Istanbul Gelisim University, Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Occupational Therapy students and faculty members celebrated October 27, World Occupational Therapy Day with enthusiasm. The students of the Occupational Therapy Department carried out various activities on the meaning and importance of the day.
A pleasant conversation took place between the students and the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences and the assistant deans. Then, as the family of the Occupational Therapy Department, the cake was cut.
Rukiye TOMURER, our graduate Occupational Therapy student, made a presentation about the importance of the day and field studies. At the same time, our student completed the double major program and earned the title of physiotherapist. She uses office furniture given by Istanbul Gelişim University as a gift in his institution where he provides services in the field of pediatrics in Eskişehir.
