As Gelisim University Occupational Therapy Department, we shed light on the theory and models, which are the basic philosophy of Occupational Therapy, by Occupational Therapist Mine KETHUDAOGLU. In order to fully understand occupational therapy, a theoretical understanding of the effects of the philosophies that shape the profession on health is necessary. In the seminar, we gained an overview of what the theory is about core elements of occupational therapy, the concept of model, theoretical developments in the field of occupational therapy and how to use models.
Case examples were examined and gains were achieved in the seminar, where occupational therapy students had a great interest. Our valuable speaker Mine KETHUDAOGLU answered the questions that were on the minds of the students. We ended our seminar by presenting a plaque to our guest.
