Beyza Aslı BİLSEL, Research Assistant at Istanbul Gelisim University Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Occupational Therapy, attended the Occupational Therapy and Rehabilitation Symposium held on 17.05.2023 as an invited speaker with her speech on "Metacognitive Experimental Designs".
In the session on “Metacognitive Experimental Designs”, one of the Applied Occupational Therapy Workshops of the Symposium, the links of metacognition to planning strategies for upcoming tasks, taking necessary steps to solve problems, taking action, evaluating results and changing approaches as needed were explained. Then, by giving examples of cognitive experiment designs, the participant students were given the opportunity to practice practically. In this context, important information was shared about the technological approaches that occupational therapists can use to support the therapeutic activities and rehabilitation process.
