ISTANBUL GELISIM UNIVERSITY ERGOTHERAPY DEPARTMENT IS AT THE LIFE OF THE DISABLED 2022 FAIR

The Barrier-Free Life Fair 2022, which is the only fair in its field and the 6th largest in the world, organized for the 12th time as the Occupational Therapy Department of Gelişim University, aims to minimize the barriers to health, rehabilitation and access to professionals. to take care of disabled and elderly individuals and to integrate them into all areas of social life. We were at an international platform where commercial solutions and connections will be developed and new technologies will be shared in order to contribute.
At the fair, we had the opportunity to experience adaptive devices and software specially produced for each disabled person, and to listen to the projects expected to be realized by the Ministry of Family and Social Services, NGOs and special speakers.
At the fair, we experienced and evaluated the newly released materials in the field of pediatrics first hand. We had the opportunity to review new design wheelchairs that provide sensory clothing and maximum movement and minimum falls for children.
We examined the Jaws software for the visually impaired and the new technological infrastructure for the hearing impaired at the disabled life fair.
We tested hand rehabilitation materials arranged at different angles, increasing independence in daily living skills, and evaluated their changes in rehabilitation.
We visited our Occupational Therapy Association stand. At the fair, we chatted with disabled individuals on occupational therapy. In the fair, which will continue until the end of the week, our students from Gelişim University will take the responsibility of the Occupational Therapy Association stand.
