Specialist Occupational Therapist Tayfun Zengin, whom we hosted as the Occupational Therapy Department, said, "I graduated from the Occupational Therapy Department and now I am proud to practice this valuable profession. I would like to tell you about my own story." He shared his experiences with our students.
We heard the following explanation as stated by Specialist Occupational Therapist Tayfun Zengin:
The courses I took at university allowed me to learn the basics of human anatomy, psychology and rehabilitation. But the real learning took place during the internship periods. It was incredibly valuable to encounter real-life scenarios where we interned and gain practical experience on how we can improve individuals' lives.
After graduation, I started working at a rehabilitation center. Here, I had the opportunity to work with people from various age groups. Working with children in particular has made me realize how satisfying it is to contribute to their development. It is a great source of happiness for me to re-teach them daily living activities and increase their independence.
Of course, there were difficulties I encountered at the beginning of my career after graduating from the Occupational Therapy Department. However, each challenge helped me become a stronger and more competent Occupational Therapist. Now, I have the opportunity to touch and help many people's lives every day.
Occupational Therapy is truly a great profession for those who want to help people. Having the chance to make a significant difference in individuals' lives is an invaluable experience for me. I encourage everyone to follow their talents and passions and contribute to society.
