World Occupational Therapy was started to be celebrated for the first time on October 27, 2010 under the leadership of the World Federation of Occupational Therapists (WFOT). From this date, October 27 has become an important date for the promotion and celebration of Occupational Therapy. In our country, October 27 is celebrated as World Occupational Therapists Day. Occupational Therapy Department students and occupational therapists organize various events to promote the occupational therapy profession and celebrate professional days.
The cake was cut with the participation of the Dean of Faculty of Health Sciences Prof. Dr. Rıfat MUTUŞ, Vice-Dean Asst. Prof. Dr. A. Yüksel BARUT and Head of the Occupational Therapy Department, Asst. Prof. Dr. A.Berrak DUMLUPINAR.
On this special day, the students of the occupational therapy department emphasized the importance of tools such as Pegboard, Wilbarger Brush and Pinchmeter, which they frequently use in their clinical practices, and experienced them together with the guests. Then, different gifts were presented to the guests who showed the best performance in the vehicles applied. Occupational therapy students got together on this special day and exchanged information about their working areas and the future of the profession.
