 Visit from Medicana Health Group to Final Year Nursing Students


Emine Burcu Demiralp, Nursing Services Manager, Hilal Dursun, Human Resources Manager, and Gizem Güngördü, Training Nurse from Medicana Health Group, visited the final year students Department of the Nursing at Istanbul Gelisim University Faculty of Health Sciences.


Medicana Health Group visited the final year students Department of the Nursing at Istanbul Gelisim University Faculty of Health Sciences to provide future healthcare professionals with important information about the profession. This visit was organized to contribute to the professional development of the students and to inform them about current practices in the sector.

During the visit, experienced nurses and managers from Medicana Health Group explained various aspects of the nursing profession to the students. Detailed information was given on topics such as the daily routines of nurses, communication and care processes with patients, emergency management, ethics, and patient rights. Additionally, attention was drawn to the points that students should consider when planning their careers after graduation.

Officials from Medicana Health Group emphasized the importance of the nursing profession in the healthcare sector and conveyed to the students the knowledge and skills required to be a good nurse. They highlighted that the nursing profession is not only based on technical knowledge but also on empathy, patience, and communication skills, illustrating the importance of these values in professional life with examples.

The students stated that gaining more information about the profession and meeting experienced professionals in the sector increased their motivation.

Medicana Health Group stated that it will continue to organize such events to contribute to the training of qualified nurses in the health field. Emphasizing the importance of supporting future nurses, the group announced that it will continue similar visit programs for students.

At the end of the visit, Medicana Health Group answered the students' questions, supported them in preparing their resumes, and offered job opportunities.

This visit was an important step for the professional development of IGU Nursing Department students and facilitated the establishment of a strong bond between Medicana Health Group and the students.
