 Faculty of Health Sciences Celebrated 18 December Health Administrators Day with Department Faculty Members and Students


The 60th anniversary of the Health Management profession was celebrated at the event held with the participation of the Deputy Deans of the Faculty of Health Sciences, faculty members of the Department of Health Management and department students.


The event started with the opening speech given by the Department Head Asst. Prof. Bumin Çağatay AKSU regarding the meaning and importance of the day. Later, department vice president Asst. Prof. Aslı KAYA, one of the department's faculty members, Asst. Prof. Turgay KARALİNÇ, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Asst. Prof. Abdullah Yüksel BARUT made their speeches.

In the opening speech of the event, Asst. Prof. Bumin Çağatay Aksu talked about the importance of the health sector and stated that the importance of health workers in the COVID-19 pandemic is better understood and that health managers have important duties. Asst. Prof. Aslı KAYA mentioned that health is a critical factor in human life and that being a health manager and working in the field requires dedication. Asst. Prof. Turgay Karalinç gave examples of how students can reach important positions in healthcare institutions and emphasized the importance of internships during their student years. Asst. Prof. Abdullah Yüksel Barut talked about the requirements of being a good health manager based on his experiences and congratulated the day of health administrators with the words "A good manager should manage himself first, know the regulations well, and therefore be able to protect himself and his institution well against risks."

The event ended with the department faculty members presenting books to the students.

On this happy day of the Health Management profession, we wish happy December 18th Health Managers Day to all our colleagues who are members of this honorable community and all our students growing up on this path.
