As part of Istanbul Gelişim University's High School Winter Academy, various workshops were organized with the active participation of prospective university students. Among these workshops, the "Creative Drama Workshop" was conducted by Lecturer Buse BULAT from the Department of Child Development at the Faculty of Health Sciences.
The workshop began with icebreaker games to help the group members get to know each other and adapt to the environment. Following this, information was shared about what creative drama is, where it can be applied, and its benefits. The drama activities conducted within the workshop consisted of three sections; ın the first section, warm-up games and introductory activities were held to allow group members to get acquainted and participate interactively in the process. In the second section, labeled as the "main activity," drama examples were practiced. In the third section, which included a break and evaluation, additional drama examples were carried out, concluding the workshop.
The workshop provided students with a fun and educational experience, enabling them to enhance their creative thinking, communication, and teamwork skills. Through the use of drama techniques, students engaged in activities such as improvisation, role-playing, and storytelling. Participants had the opportunity to express themselves and develop empathy through drama while enjoying an engaging learning process.
