Practice-Oriented Education Is Planned

The midwifery profession, which plays a critical role in women’s health, pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum care processes, holds great importance for both individual and public health. With the establishment of the new department within the Faculty of Health Sciences, it is aimed to offer an educational model in which students can reinforce theoretical knowledge through practice and gain competence in contemporary healthcare approaches. The Midwifery Department is planned to operate within a strong academic structure supported by Istanbul Gelisim University’s existing healthcare infrastructure, practical training opportunities, and interdisciplinary collaborations. In this context, it is intended for students to develop their professional knowledge and skills under the guidance of an expert academic staff.

With this initiative that expands the diversity of education in the field of health, Istanbul Gelisim University continues to contribute to the training of well-equipped healthcare professionals needed by the country.
