A meeting was held at Istanbul Gelisim University on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. in the Mehmet Akif Ersoy Conference Hall, Block J, with the aim of supporting students’ academic, social, and professional development, enhancing their talents and skills, and encouraging their more active participation in the university’s scientific, cultural, and social activities.
The program, which was also attended by students from the Faculty of Health Sciences, began with an opening speech by Asst. Prof. Turgay Karalinç, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, followed by the Turkish National Anthem. Subsequently, Prof. Mustafa Nizamlıoğlu, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, and Prof. Serdar Egeli, Vice Rector, delivered their speeches.
During the meeting, opportunities for students' academic, social, and professional development were discussed, along with potential initiatives to be implemented within the university. Students' opinions, suggestions, and expectations were heard, and activities that could be carried out in line with their interests and competencies were evaluated.
In this context, various topics were discussed, including research and project activities, academic publication processes, participation in national and international competitions, educational and workshop activities, career development, and mentoring programs. Views were exchanged on initiatives aimed at encouraging students to participate more actively in scientific, cultural, and social activities.
