According to the Council’s statement, the Data Analysis School, established under the coordination of Marmara University Institute of Population and Social Research with contributions from Middle East Technical University (METU), Istanbul Technical University (ITU), and Boğaziçi University, will begin operations on October 1. The training will continue until April 24, 2026.
The online program will cover six modules, including artificial intelligence, basic statistics, panel data analysis, psychometrics, computational social sciences, and digital humanities. The curriculum, prepared by academics, will combine theoretical foundations with practical analyses.
Participants will not only acquire knowledge but also be able to apply it effectively in analytical thinking, problem-solving, and developing innovative applications.
The Data Analysis School aims to accelerate knowledge exchange among academia, the public sector, and private industry, thereby contributing to Turkey’s scientific productivity, enhancing the research ecosystem, and strengthening the pool of qualified human resources.
There are no prerequisites for application. Undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students, academics, independent researchers, specialists working with data in public institutions and the private sector, as well as anyone interested in developing themselves in this field, can apply.
Applications will be accepted online through the official website of Marmara University Institute of Population and Social Research until September 7. The evaluation will consider candidates’ academic qualifications, GPA, English proficiency, and statements of motivation. Results will be announced on September 15.
