 Orientation Meeting Held in the Perfusion Department


On September 24, 2025, an orientation meeting was held for the students of the Perfusion Department at Istanbul Gelisim University.


The meeting, conducted by the Head of the Perfusion Department, Prof. Dr. Kıvanç Derya PEKER, along with the departmental academic staff, provided comprehensive information regarding the academic structure of the department, course contents, educational processes, and the academic regulations that students are required to comply with.

Additionally, recommendations aimed at facilitating students’ adaptation to university life were presented. Students’ questions were addressed, and detailed information concerning academic processes was shared. During the meeting, students were provided with detailed guidance on the use of digital platforms such as the OBIS and LMS, which are utilized for managing academic and administrative processes. The importance of using these systems correctly and consistently was emphasized to enable students to effectively access course materials, monitor assignments and exams, follow announcements, and carry out other academic procedures. Furthermore, students were advised that the official channel for communication is the university email system, and all academic notifications and announcements would be communicated through these platforms and via email. It was stressed that active engagement with these systems and regular monitoring of email accounts are crucial to prevent disruptions in academic processes.

Prof. Dr. Kıvanç Derya PEKER also highlighted the opportunities offered by Istanbul Gelisim University, emphasizing that the university adheres to an education approach aligned with international standards, provides a strong academic staff, and offers a modern campus environment that supports multifaceted development. He underscored that internationally accredited programs, student exchange agreements, practical training facilities, technologically equipped laboratories, and a wide range of social and cultural activities significantly contribute to both the academic and personal development of students. The orientation meeting enabled students to gain an in-depth understanding of the academic structure of the Perfusion Department while also familiarizing themselves with the opportunities offered by Istanbul Gelisim University. As a result, students were able to commence the new academic year in a more prepared, informed, and motivated manner.
