The 4th International Congress on Occupational Therapy and Rehabilitation was hosted by Biruni University. The congress was attended by our Assistant Head of the Occupational Therapy Department, Dr. Aslı Bilsel Beyza, along with our occupational therapy students.


During the congress, Dr. Aslı Bilsel Beyza delivered a presentation titled “Multi-Task Paradigms in Occupational Therapy: Metacognitive Experiments and Neurocognitive Interventions.” The session was chaired by Dr. Şüheda Özkan, Head of the Occupational Therapy Department at Atlas University. In her presentation, Dr. Bilsel discussed the evaluation of cognitive processes within the framework of multi-task paradigms and the integration of metacognitive approaches into clinical practice. She also served as the session chair for the oral presentations.

Additionally, the co-authored presentation by Dr. Bilsel, “Occupational Significance and Competence Perceptions, Life Satisfaction, and Depression in Women Victims of Domestic Physical Violence Applying to a Social Service Center,” was also presented during the congress.
Furthermore, our students who are actively involved in the Occupational Therapy Association Youth Commission participated in the congress. They conducted interactive and educational activities at the exhibition booths to introduce and raise awareness about the field of occupational therapy. Activities included demonstrations related to sensory integration, fine motor skills, environmental adaptation, and activity analysis, contributing to increased visibility and understanding of occupational therapy.

Finally, Dr. Aslı Bilsel Beyza received a certificate of appreciation from Prof. Dr. Hülya Kayıhan, Founder of the Occupational Therapy Department.
