The orientation program for first-year students in the Child Development Department began at 11:00 a.m. Students were informed about the opportunities offered by the university, our academic staff, Double Major Programs (DMP) and Erasmus opportunities, TÜBİTAK Projects, and graduate programs. The school also discussed the entrepreneurship support it provides.
The department's ongoing TÜBİTAK projects were introduced, and all students were instructed on project development steps. They were informed about which department professors they could seek guidance from to develop TÜBİTAK projects and what steps they should take to advance in their academic careers through the Child Development Master's Program. Students were provided with detailed information about the thesis and non-thesis master's programs in Child Development at Istanbul Gelişim University's Graduate Institute.
In his speech, ELKİN highlighted our university's achievements, including THE, Scimago, Rank, and TÜBİTAK projects. He also provided detailed information on numerous topics, including departmental advisory hours, courses, practical courses, the academic calendar, Erasmus, libraries, our graduate programs, double majors, our foreign language policy, and the potential for personal development through membership in IGU SABDER, the SBF Bulletin, and student clubs.
Orientation provided guidance to students on adapting to university life and making the most of available opportunities.
