ERASMUS+ STAFF MOBILITY APPLICATION PROCESS
As the Erasmus+ Department Coordinator of the Child Development Department, a new agreement has been signed with the Klaipeda State University of Applied Sciences Faculty of Health Sciences in order to send our first student from the English Department of Child Development to Erasmus+ learning mobility. Upon the e-mail from the Erasmus+ office after the agreement, an application was made to go to the school with which we made a new agreement and to have the opportunity to meet with the Erasmus+ coordinators and department teachers face-to-face. Your eight-day Erasmus+ mobility, which started with the adventure of seeing a new country, getting to know new people and different cultures, leaves permanent traces in your life.
16th INTERNATIONAL WEEK “INNOVATİVE EDUCATION”
After a nice welcome, it has been a very valuable experience to take part in the international weeks and reflect the perspective of our university. In this way, while I had the opportunity to meet with professors from different countries, the first day of the congress was provided with the opportunity to convey ourselves and the characteristics of our own culture. Promotion was made by everyone by bringing different foods and beverages specific to their own culture. After all the participants introduced their culture, a tour of the city of Klaipeda was carried out with a guide.
“EDUCATION, RESEARCH AND INNOVATION IN HEALTH AND WELL-BEING STUDIES”
Participation in the "Education, Research And Innovation In Health And Well-Being Studies" congress. In the congress where the researches were presented, information was given about the innovation studies in the field of health. At the end of the congress, the opening of the “Nursing Simulation Center” was attended. In this simulation center; By observing how the process works in a hospital environment and introducing it with an innovative approach in the field of nursing, studies integrating technology and health were carried out. In the center; In order for the participants to take an active role, practices were carried out with guidance.
KLAIPEDA STATE APPLIED SCIENCES UNIVERSITY FACULTY OF HEALTH SCIENCES VISIT STUDENT DORMITORY
Klaipeda State University of Applied Sciences Faculty of Health Sciences student dormitory was visited. We met with students coming from different countries within the scope of Erasmus+ Learning Mobility and talked about Erasmus+ processes.
INTRODUCTION OF ISTANBUL GELİŞİM UNIVERSITY IN LITHUANIA
On the third day of the congress, academic staff from different countries were given the opportunity to introduce their schools and to provide information about the school and departments to the students. In the promotion; Materials with the Istanbul Gelisim University logo were presented to the students and professors at the congress. After the introductory presentation of our school was made, our promotional brochures were distributed to the students who wanted to get detailed information while answering the questions. In the introductory presentation, the success of our school and our students, accreditation in 63 departments, the opportunities our school provides to the students, the Department of Child Development and the departments that provide education in English, and the fact that the content of the department is 100% in English was mentioned.
PRE-SCHOOL AND PRE-PRIMARY SCHOOL PEDAGOOGY DEPARTMENT VISIT
On the fourth day of the congress, the faculty members of the Klaipeda State Universty of Applied Sciences Faculty of Health Sciences Pre-school and Pre-primary School Pedagogy department were met and the laboratories of the school were visited. By obtaining information about the course contents, the educational materials they designed were examined. They stated that the slogan they used in designing the materials was "Development Oriented". While detailed information was given about the curriculum of Istanbul Gelişim University Child Development Department, creative activities were carried out on child development. After the meeting, visits were made to pre-school education institutions in different regions. While getting detailed information about the education models implemented by the schools, the opportunity to make observations was provided.
NIDA ISLAND WHERE AT THE WESTERN POINT OF LITHUANIA AND THE BALTIC COUNTRIES
On the last day of the congress, a ceremony was held and participation certificates were delivered. After the certificate ceremony, a trip was organized to “Nida Island”, the westernmost point of Lithuania and the Baltic countries. The "Curonian Spit", which is under the protection of UNESCO, has been reached.
Nida Island is a region where desert, forest and sea views are intertwined. Thanks to the "Lighthouses" with 200 stairs in the forest, all the beauty of Nida Island was witnessed from a height of 51.4 meters.
