As part of this initiative, the students handcrafted toys, educational materials, and holiday gifts and sent them to children in a rural school.
The event aimed to encourage university students to respond sensitively to children's developmental needs while also fostering a sense of social solidarity. The colorful boxes that set out on their journey carried not only gifts, but also messages of love, care, and unity.
Lecturer Buse BULAT, the coordinator of the project, stated, “Together with my students, we carried out a creative and compassionate initiative. Through this event, we aimed not only to share in the joy of the children’s holiday but also to reinforce the sense of social responsibility among future child development professionals.”
Through such community-focused projects, Istanbul Gelişim University continues to support the personal as well as academic growth of its students.
