Presented Study

“Current Approaches and Clinical Outcomes in Orthopedic Oncology Rehabilitation”

The conference abstract addressed current approaches and clinical outcomes in orthopedic oncology rehabilitation. Oncological conditions affecting the musculoskeletal system, as well as surgical and medical treatment processes, may significantly influence patients' functional capacity and their participation in activities of daily living. Rehabilitation therefore plays an important role in supporting functional independence and improving quality of life throughout the treatment and recovery process.

Orthopedic oncology rehabilitation requires a multidisciplinary and patient-centered approach planned according to the individual's clinical condition, treatment process, functional capacity and specific rehabilitation needs. Evaluating current rehabilitation approaches in light of scientific evidence contributes both to the development of clinical practices and to more effective participation of patients in their rehabilitation processes.

Presenting the study at an international scientific congress provided an opportunity to share current research at the intersection of rehabilitation sciences and oncology with researchers from different disciplines. The participation of IGU academics in international scientific events also contributes to the exchange of academic knowledge, discussion of current clinical approaches and development of interdisciplinary scientific collaborations.

Istanbul Gelisim University continues to support the participation of its academics in national and international scientific events and the dissemination of research conducted across different areas of health sciences, contributing to academic productivity and scientific visibility.
