History

Istanbul Gelisim University School of Health Sciences started education in 2012-2013 with the decision of the Council of Ministers dated 08.08.2012 and numbered 2012/3620 published in the Official Gazette dated 10.09.2012 and numbered 28407.

The Nursing Department of which medium of instruction in English, was opened in the academic year of 2014-2015, received full accreditation by the Accreditation Agency of AHPGS (Accreditation Agency in the Area of Health and Social Sciences) on 15.02.2018. The curriculum planning was made in parallel with other nursing programs in our country within the framework of the National Core Education Program.

"School of Health Sciences" was transformed into a "Faculty of Health Sciences" by the Presidental decree numbered 3203, published in the Official Gazette numbered 31315 dated 25.11.2020.
