The Visible Face of Social and Emotional Development: Language & Communication
The event entitled “The Visible Face of Social and Emotional Development: Language & Communication” was organized by the Department of Speech and Language Therapy, Faculty of Health Sciences, Istanbul Gelişim University.
Kemal Colay, Specialist Speech and Language Therapist, participated as the invited speaker. The program explored the relationship between language, communication, and social and emotional development, aiming to enhance students’ awareness of the interplay among these domains.
Kemal Colay shared his professional knowledge and experience regarding the role of language and communication skills in expressing emotions and establishing and maintaining social relationships. The importance of examining social and emotional development within the context of language and communication was emphasized.
The event encouraged students to consider language and communication skills in relation to multiple dimensions of development and contributed to broadening their professional perspectives.
