One of the most remarkable sessions of the event was the talk titled “Earthquake-Conscious Cities” delivered by earthquake scientist Prof. Dr. Naci GÖRÜR, which attracted great interest from the participants.
As part of the symposium, presentations of the projects developed by students following the utopia workshop held on April 7 at the Avcılar Municipality Applied Solution and Innovation Center were carried out. At the end of the evaluation process, the award-winning projects were announced and honored.
In the Utopia Competition, students from the Department of Speech and Language Therapy were awarded first place with their project titled “Diltopya.” Developed with the idea of a life in which communication is accessible to everyone, the project centered on the dream of a world where understanding, being heard, and living together are possible.
In their statement regarding this achievement, the students expressed: “For us, Diltopya was not just a project; it was a dream of a world where understanding, being heard, and living together are possible.”
We sincerely congratulate the Department of Speech and Language Therapy students Samet Can ÇULAYDAR, Dilara AKSOY, Bedirhan KARASU, Nisa Yağmur METİN, Tamer KARADEMİR, and Merve ÖZ, as well as Lecturer Seda KETEN, who guided the students throughout the project, for their outstanding achievement.
