A Comprehensive Overview of Dysphagia from A to Z: From Clinical Assessment to Current Therapeutic Approaches

Ass. Prof. Najva Mousavi, faculty member of the Department of Speech and Language Therapy at Medipol University, participated in the event as the guest speaker. During the program, comprehensive information was presented on dysphagia, covering a wide range of topics from clinical assessment processes to current therapeutic approaches.

Ass. Prof. Mousavi provided detailed information on the assessment methods used in the diagnosis of swallowing disorders, clinical decision-making processes, and the importance of multidisciplinary teamwork. She also discussed current evidence-based intervention approaches in dysphagia management and shared examples of therapy methods applied to different patient populations.

Throughout the event, participants had the opportunity to examine contemporary approaches to dysphagia assessment and rehabilitation from both academic and clinical perspectives. In addition to recent developments in the literature, the presentation of clinical case examples contributed to enhancing students’ professional knowledge and awareness.
