Student Orientation Program Held for the English Program of the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics
Istanbul Gelisim University Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Nutrition and Dietetics (English) held its student orientation program for the 2026–2027 Academic Year. During the presentation delivered by Asst. Prof. Gizem Uzlu, students were informed about the Department’s academic procedures, education and practical training processes, academic advising system, and student opportunities.
Istanbul Gelisim University Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Nutrition and Dietetics (English) held its student orientation program for the 2026–2027 Academic Year. The program aimed to support students’ adaptation to the university and the Department, provide information about academic procedures, and help them make an informed start to their university education.
The orientation presentation was delivered by Asst. Prof. Gizem Uzlu. Faculty members of the Department also attended the program and contributed to helping students become familiar with departmental procedures and academic processes.
The program covered key topics including Istanbul Gelisim University’s mission and vision, the Department’s accreditation process, the academic advising system, important regulations, the use of OBIS, the student email system, the curriculum, examination procedures, and attendance requirements. Students were also informed about theoretical and practical courses, summer internships and professional practices, laboratory facilities, TÜBİTAK 2209-A/B projects, Erasmus+ opportunities, the Double Major Program, graduate education, and student-participatory departmental activities.
For students of the English Program of the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, the orientation program marked an important beginning by introducing the Department’s academic structure, practical training opportunities, and key aspects to consider throughout their undergraduate education. We wish all our new students a successful, productive, and healthy academic year.
