History

In line with the modern understanding of education, the Nutrition and Dietetics English Program, which offers students professional educational opportunities with a quality of education that meets internationalization standards, began admitting students in the 2015-2016 Academic Year. Our program graduated its first cohort in the 2019-2020 Academic Year.

In the 2017-2018 Academic Year, the Nutrition and Dietetics English Program was accredited by AHPGS (Accreditation Agency in the Area of Health and Social Sciences) and received full accreditation.

With Presidential Decree No. 3203, published in the Official Gazette dated 25.11.2020 and numbered 31315, the "School of Health Sciences" was transformed into the Faculty of Health Sciences.

Following the initial accreditation period, as a result of the application and evaluation processes, the Nutrition and Dietetics English Program received AHPGS accreditation for the second time, valid until 2030, in the 2024-2025 Academic Year. In the same year, Istanbul Gelisim University was accredited for 5 years by the Higher Education Quality Council of Türkiye (YOKAK) within the framework of the Institutional Accreditation Program.

The Nutrition and Dietetics English Program continues to provide education under the Faculty of Health Sciences in accordance with international standards.
