Istanbul Gelisim University, Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Nutrition and Dietetics held a training event titled “Current Approaches in Body Composition Analysis II” on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, in Meeting Room 026, Block B.
During the training delivered by Dietitian Zeynep Kekeç, students were informed about current methods used in body composition assessment, Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA) technology, and anthropometric measurement methods. Key considerations for BIA measurements and the interpretation of body composition analysis reports were also discussed.
As part of the event, a practical body composition measurement was performed using the InBody device. The training aimed to help students reinforce their theoretical knowledge through practical applications and develop their skills in the clinical interpretation of measurement results. The program concluded with a question-and-answer session, during which students had the opportunity to ask questions.
We would like to thank Dietitian Zeynep Kekeç and our department's faculty members for their valuable contributions, as well as all the students who participated in the event.
