The opening speeches were delivered by the Honorary President of the Congress and the Rector of Istanbul Gelişim University, Prof. Bahri Şahin, and the Vice-Rector of Shahrisabz Davlat Pedagogical Institute, Achilov Ilmurad. The congress featured presentations from academics and researchers in the fields of social sciences, health, engineering, and applied sciences.
The face-to-face sessions of the 9th International Socrates Social Sciences Congress and the 9th International Socrates Health, Engineering, and Applied Sciences Congress took place in five separate halls following the opening speeches on August 16 at the IGU J Block Mehmet Akif Ersoy Conference Hall. During the online conferences held on August 17-18, 140 academics participated, and 178 papers were presented and discussed among the congress members.
Faculty members from the Department of Nursing at İGÜ made presentations at the congress, sharing their innovative approaches, research findings, and practical experiences in their field. The congress provided participants with the opportunity to exchange knowledge and experiences at the intersection of health and engineering disciplines.

Research Assistant Esra ÖZER and Lecturer Çağdaş ÖZER presented their paper titled “Innovation in Nursing Education with Machine Learning Integration: Simulation-Based Approaches”,
Senem Alpsar , Lecturer Ayşe Mücella SOYDAN, and Research Assistant Ramazan DEMİRER presentŞAŞMAZLARed their paper titled “The Effects of Climate Change on Human Health and Nursing Approaches.”
Abdülkadir Levent HİDAYET, Research Assistant Ramazan DEMİRER, Lecturer Ayşe Mücella SOYDAN, and Asst. Prof. Hüsniye Merve DEMİRER presented their paper titled “Approaches to Ensuring the Well-Being of Healthcare Workers During the COVID-19 Pandemic.”
The faculty members of IGU Department of Nursing emphasized that participating in this significant event was a great honor for both the department and the university, and they expressed their goal to advance the knowledge and experiences gained into academic and practical fields.
