The "Area-Based Competency Analysis of Universities" report, prepared by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK), in which the performance of universities in 21 main fields and 132 sub-research areas is evaluated based on research intensity and quality indicators, has been published.
The report, which is obtained from Scopus data, aims to evaluate the performances of universities based on research areas in comparison with each other. In addition, it is determined which of all the research activities carried out by the universities themselves are more competent. Located in 17 of 21 main research areas and 62 of 132 sub-research areas, Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) came to the fore among Turkish universities in terms of both quality and research intensity in 9 of its main research areas and 26 of its sub-research areas.
IGU is at the top in "Public Administration"!
In the report, which evaluates the performances of universities based on research areas, Istanbul Gelisim University achieved success in the main research areas of Information and Communication Technologies, Social and Human Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Energy, Physics, Aviation and Space, Construction, Automotive, and Basic Sciences. Continuing to progress with the vision of a 'Research University', IGU received important degrees in the ranking of Turkish universities both in quality and research intensity. While IGU is at the top of the sub-research field of Public Administration in Turkey's Research Intensity Ranking, it was also in the top 10 in Information Security, Broadband Technologies, Internet of Things, Law, Politics, and International Relations and Coal sub-research fields.
IGU achieved great success in many areas
In the report, which determines which of the research activities carried out by the universities are more competent, Istanbul Gelisim University has achieved success in many areas in the Quality Ranking of Turkish universities.
Continuing its work in both academic and social fields with its contemporary, developing, producing, and quality education approach, IGU was ranked 1st in the sub-research areas of Information Security, Law, Public Administration, Urbanization, Politics and International Relations, Sociology, Transportation Railway Systems, Logistics, Meteorology, Coal, Aircraft Design and Electric and Hybrid Vehicle Technology.
Continuing many studies on contributing to the production of new technologies and developing projects that will benefit society, IGU took place in the top ten in Türkiye-General Quality Ranking with Broadband Technologies, Internet of Things, Robotics, Economics, Business Administration, Mass Communication, Energy Storage, Satellite and Launch Technology, and Civil Engineering sub-research areas.
