Alternative Approaches in Pain Management
In the study, the effects of non-pharmacological interventions (non-pharmacological methods) on pain levels in individuals struggling with diabetic foot complications were discussed. In their presentation, the students emphasized that such approaches play an important role not only in reducing pain but also in improving the patient's quality of life.
In the study, the effectiveness of various non-pharmacological methods in nursing care such as aromatherapy, hot-cold applications, relaxation exercises, music therapy was evaluated and the necessity of individualized care plans was emphasized.
Emphasis on Multidisciplinary Approach and Evidence-Based Practice
Drawing attention to the principle of evidence-based practice, one of the cornerstones of nursing care in their presentations, the students stated that such interventions should not only be limited to nursing practice, but also coordinated with multidisciplinary health teams will be effective in reducing complications and accelerating the treatment process.
