 The 8th International and 18th National Congress on Health and Hospital Administration Held in Istanbul


The 8th International and 18th National Congress on Health and Hospital Administration was held in Istanbul on October 9–11, 2025, hosted by Istanbul Medipol University. As one of the most well-established scientific events in the field of health management and hospital administration in Türkiye, the congress brought together academics, health managers, researchers, and students from across the country.


Istanbul Gelisim University, Department of Health Management, also played an active role in this important scientific event. A total of three oral presentations were delivered on behalf of the university: 

Aysu Hacıoğlu (Health Management Student), Asst. Prof. Dr. Aslı Kaya — Trust in Health Services Provided in Türkiye, Trust in Physicians, and Self-Confidence: Preliminary Findings 

Gülhan Kızıltaş (Senior Health Manager), Asst. Prof. Dr. Aslı Kaya — The Impact of Distance Learning Models Within In-Service Training on the Individual Job Performance of Healthcare Workers 

Res. Asst. Semanur Oktay Alkan, Gözde Tetik Özol — Protecting the Family and the Workforce: A Systematic Review on Work-Family Conflict Among Healthcare Workers

The presentations received considerable attention from participants, providing a strong foundation for future studies in the field of health management. 

Throughout the congress, a series of panels addressed current topics such as sustainability in health services, digital transformation in hospital management, human resources in healthcare, and health policy. Participants had the opportunity to closely follow sectoral innovations and build potential academic and professional collaborations. 

During the closing session, it was announced that next year’s congress will be held in Diyarbakır, hosted by Dicle University. The 2026 congress is expected to further strengthen knowledge sharing in health management and inspire new research collaborations in the field.
