Micro-Credential Modules of the Department of Health Management
The Health Management Micro-Credential Model is an interdisciplinary field of specialization that addresses the relationship between artificial intelligence and data governance, advanced technologies in strategic fields, and digitalization and society from a health management perspective. Within the scope of the program, students are expected to develop the ability to evaluate AI-supported health management practices, innovative health technologies, digital health services, and ethical processes related to the protection of health data.
The Health Management foundation contributes to students’ understanding of the relationship between technology and management by enabling the integration of digital transformation into the planning, management, and evaluation processes of healthcare services. Within this framework, the key contributions aimed to be provided to students are as follows:
- AI- and Data-Driven Health Management: Develops the ability to evaluate AI-supported decision-making processes together with their applications in healthcare services, including hospital management, clinical decision support systems, resource planning, quality management, and patient experience.
- Evaluation and Management of Innovative Health Technologies: Provides competencies in evaluating processes such as health technology assessment (HTA), cost-effectiveness analyses, innovation management, and digital health investments, in addition to the utilization of health technologies.
- Digital Health and Social Impact: Provides opportunities to evaluate the effects of digital health applications, telehealth, and mobile health technologies on individuals, communities, and health systems, while developing an interdisciplinary perspective on digital inequality and digital inclusion.
- Digital Ethics and Data Privacy: Develops the ability to evaluate ethical and secure practices in digital health systems by providing knowledge of the protection of personal health data, AI ethics, digital privacy, and cybersecurity awareness.
- Strategic and Sustainable Health Management: Develops competencies in evaluating digital health applications and innovative technologies from a health services management perspective, facilitating the integration of technological transformation into managerial processes, and evaluating sustainable health policies.
