Health Management Students Achieve Success in TÜBİTAK 2209-A Program
Four research projects prepared by students of the Health Management Department at the Faculty of Health Sciences, Istanbul Gelisim University, have been awarded support under the TÜBİTAK 2209-A University Students Research Projects Support Program.
The program aims to encourage undergraduate students to engage in scientific research, develop research skills, and gain experience in project-based academic studies. The supported projects address current issues and challenges in the field of health management, contributing to the advancement of scientific knowledge and practice.
The project entitled “The Effects of Flexible Working Arrangements for Healthcare Professionals on Social Sustainability and Employee Burnout Levels”, supervised by Dr. Aslı KAYA, Head of the Health Management Department, has been selected for funding. The project will be conducted by Health Management student Salih Batuhan TOPCU and focuses on the impact of flexible working practices on healthcare employees.
The projects supervised by Dr. Bumin Çağatay AKSU that have been awarded support are as follows:
• “How Do Internship Experiences Affect the Career Optimism of Health Management Students? The Supportive Effects of University Career Centers and Managerial Behaviors”
Researchers: Duhan AKKAN, Serdar ÇALIK, and Batyr AGAYEV
• “Can Quality Management Practices in Healthcare Institutions Reduce Fear of Malpractice? The Mediating Role of Patient Safety Culture”
Researchers: Nehir KARADAĞ, Sudenaz ATALAY, and Zeynep Özgü GÜRSOY
• “The Effects of Digital Health Literacy on Trust in the Healthcare System: An Intergenerational Comparison”
Researchers: Esma KARAKAŞLI and Sıla YÜKSEL
The supported projects focus on significant topics within the field of health management, including working conditions of healthcare professionals, patient safety, trust in healthcare systems, and career development. These projects demonstrate the commitment of our students to producing scientific solutions to contemporary challenges and contribute to strengthening the culture of research and innovation within our department.
