Graduate Education and Academic Career Event Held by the Department of Health Management
Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU), Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Health Management, held an event entitled “Graduate Education and Academic Career in Health Management” to provide students with information about graduate education processes and academic career opportunities.
The event was held on Thursday, 3 September 2026, at 13:00. The session was moderated by Asst. Prof. Aslı KAYA, Head of the Department of Health Management, and Prof. Dr. Izzet GUMUS, Director of the IGU Institute of Graduate Studies, participated as the speaker.
During the event, Prof. Dr. Izzet GUMUS shared information about the importance of graduate education for academic and professional development, master's and doctoral education processes, admission requirements for graduate programs, and academic career planning. Academic and professional opportunities offered by graduate education in the field of Health Management were discussed, along with considerations for students when determining their career goals.
The moderator, Asst. Prof. Aslı KAYA, emphasized the importance of Health Management students becoming familiar with academic career options during their undergraduate studies, participating in scientific research processes, and developing awareness of graduate education.
The event addressed students' questions and interests regarding graduate education and academic careers and concluded with a question-and-answer session.
