Academic Contribution from İstanbul Gelişim University at the 34th National Management and Organization Congress


Dr. Aslı Kaya, a faculty member of the Department of Health Management within the Faculty of Health Sciences at İstanbul Gelişim University, participated in the 34th National Management and Organization Congress.


First organized in 1993 through the collaboration of İstanbul University and Boğaziçi University, the National Management and Organization Congress has been held regularly ever since. As one of the most established and prestigious academic congresses in Türkiye, the 34th edition of the congress took place in Sivas between May 20–23, 2026.

Faculty members from the Department of Health Management, Faculty of Health Sciences, İstanbul Gelişim University, successfully represented the university by presenting their scientific studies at the congress.

During the congress, Dr. Aslı Kaya presented a paper entitled “The Mediating Role of Organizational Ostracism in the Relationship Between Job Stress and Acquiescent and Passive Silence,” which she co-authored with independent researchers Dr. Aslı Ercan Önbıçak and Dr. Mustafa İsmet Başboğa.

In addition, another paper titled “The Role of Job Crafting and Leader–Member Exchange in the Effect of Career Management Practices on Career Competencies,” prepared by Dr. Aslı Kaya, Dr. Bumin Çağatay Aksu, Dr. Turgay Karalinç, and Associate Professor Dr. Dursun Boz from Mudanya University, was also presented to participants as part of the congress program.
Held under the presidency of Prof. Dr. Berrin Filizöz, the congress addressed current issues in the fields of management and organization. Bringing together academics, researchers, and graduate students from various universities, the event made significant contributions to the exchange of knowledge and experience. The studies presented at the congress contributed to the field by offering scientific findings on contemporary issues related to organizational behavior, human resource management, career management, and working life.
